Microsoft Intune

To create a new named connection to the Microsoft Intune distribution system, perform the following steps:

  1. On Settings menu, click Distribution Systems in the left pane.

    The Distribution Systems pane appears.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Use the following fields to add the Microsoft Intune connection:

    Distribution System TypeClick the Distribution System Type drop down and select Microsoft Intune from the list.
    Connection NameEnter name of the connection.
    Application (client) IDEnter the registered application (client) ID. For more information on generating Application (client) ID, see App Registration.
    Directory (tenant) IDEnter the registered directory (tenant) ID. For more information on generating Directory (tenant) ID, see App Registration.
    Client SecretEnter client secret. For more information on generating Client Secret, see Create Client Secret.
    App CategoryEnter the application category.
    Assignment GroupsThis field is visible only in the previous version (v7.XX.XXXX) of the Patch Publisher and cannot be edited.

  4. Click Test & Save Connection to ensure settings are correct. The Patch Publisher service restarts automatically. You will receive a success message in the Output window.

  5. On successful connection, the Microsoft Intune Distribution System is added.

  6. Click Restart Service ribbon for the change to take effect.
